Reeder Roofing has been a family-owned business in Indianapolis, Indiana, for more than 100 years. As a union contractor, we exercise courtesy, fairness, and quality craftsmanship. Our dedication to provide the best possible service keeps us on the forefront of the industry, and from what we’ve heard, the word is getting around. Who We Are Ralph R. Reeder & Sons, Incorporated is a commercial roofing contractor owned by Tony Reddington. Tony began working as an apprentice for a union contractor at age 19 back in 1976. He attained a journeyman’s status after four years and continued in the field for 11 years total. During that time, he had a deep desire of furthering his education, so he enrolled at Indiana University, Kokomo in 1984 to study computer science. He continued working days as a journeyman roofer while attending evening classes. After two years, Tony accepted a position within his current company as a project estimator/project manager—but he still wasn’t fulfilled. He wanted to own his own company. During his career as an estimator, he met James “Sully” Sullivan, owner of Reeder Roofing. As competitors for a number of years, Tony and Sully developed a unique relationship. In 2001, Sully offered Tony a position as president at Reeder Roofing with the intent of selling Tony the business. After 26 years of working for the same company, Tony accepted the position. He served as president for seven years and fulfilled his dream by becoming the sole owner of Ralph R. Reeder & Sons, Incorporated in December 2007.
