Refractron Technologies Corporation designs and manufactures zirconia based structural ceramics for some of the most demanding applications. Refractron’s line of zirconia based products features Izory® and Lila™ , magnesia partially stabilized zirconia (MgPSZ), yttria tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (YTZP) and specialty blends of zirconia and alumina.

Refractron Technologies Corp., a privately held company, was founded in 1984 with the acquisition of the plant, equipment and technology at the present location. The business was originally based on porous ceramic technology purchased from The Carborundum Co. and the active filter drier technology of Tetron Inc. In 2002 Refractron acquired Xylon Ceramic Materials, Inc. and Advanced Ceramics Inc. relocating both to the main plant and Headquarters in Newark to manufacture the range of structural zirconia ceramic products along with precision grinding and machining of ceramics.

Desiccant Filters Drier Core s are custom designed to remove damaging contaminants from refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. Refractron is an OEM producer of custom, proprietary, filter drier cores for these applications and is a proven OEM manufacturer reliably producing quality parts to meet a variety of custom requirements.

Refractron Technologies Corp. is a leading manufacturer of technical ceramics. Products include both controlled porosity and densely structured ceramics designed to meet requirements specified by our customers for durability, chemical, corrosion and wear resistance, toughness, and density.
