REM maintains its own in-house laboratory operations and also provides professional laboratory support to its customers. Our personnel offer optics lab expertise, where new instruments are built using the latest technology in fiber optics, photo amplifiers and optic lenses. In order to accomplish our mission of providing high-quality instruments, REM has acquired a multi-purpose, small parts machining facility. Our experienced staff is capable of handling the most specialized of projects while tendering quick cycle time.

REM engineers have extensive experience with process and machine instrumentation. From sensor specification and selection to visual data display, weather large or small scale, the client is presented with a number of possible solution choices. For medium to large instrumentation projects, LabVIEW or DATAQ software is used to provide computer based virtual instrumentation user interfaces with networked control and datalogging capability. For small to medium instrumentation projects, custom hardware is designed to provide an ergonomic and durable solution.

REM Engineering Services was established in the late 90’s to meet the changing needs of today’s advanced high-tech energy engineering sectors. The company strategically positioned the home office in close proximity to the Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Energy & Technology Center (NETL) in Morgantown, West Virginia. Since inception, REM Engineering Services has earned over twenty direct-award contracts from the DOE/NETL and a major subcontract for R&D support services. Dr.

Our mechanical design capabilities are second-to-none. Our teams of professional engineers have demonstrated a unique capability for problem insight and solution optimization. Given a client's unique design requirements we will take the concept and design it into reality. REM will also provide an optimal solution set for any troubleshooting scenario. Our design department has the capacity to create 3-D CAD and finite element models, perform fatigue/finite element analyses and produce full sets of fabrication drawings from the concepts and design constraints provided.

REM engineers work closely with the client to make their existing process more profitable or to design an innovative original process to the client's specifications. Our team has experience in internal combustion engines, power plant architecture, polymer processing and adhesives. REM utilizes industry-leading software such as ChemCad to optimize chemical processes and ProTRAX to ensure dynamic stability.
