Rentech manufactures nitrogen fertilizer products through its publicly-traded subsidiary, Rentech Nitrogen Partners . Rentech Nitrogen operates two strategically located fertilizer facilities in the U.S. The company's fertilizer production facility in East Dubuque, IL primarily produces ammonia and UAN for farmers in the U.S. Corn Belt. Its facility in Pasadena, TX is the largest producer of synthetic ammonium sulfate in North America.

Rentech, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, New England Wood Pellet, is the largest producer of pellets for the U.S. heating market.

Rentech's New England Wood Pellet subsidiary is the largest producer of bagged pellets for the growing U.S. heating market. Known for its high quality products, New England Wood Pellet commands an approximate 15% share of the market for heating pellets in the U.S. Northeast. The company is one of the largest suppliers of wood pellets to major retailers including Home Depot, Lowe's, and Tractor Supply.

Mr. Washburn was appointed as a director of Rentech in December 2005. He was appointed Chairman of the Board in June 2011. In July 2011, Mr. Washburn was appointed as a director of Rentech Nitrogen GP, LLC, the general partner of Rentech Nitrogen Partners, LP. Mr. Washburn has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry. Since April 2010, Mr. Washburn has been the Chief Executive Officer of Breitburn GP, LLC, the general partner of BreitBurn Energy Partners LP. From August 2006 until April 2010, Mr.

General Clark was appointed as a member of our Board of Directors in December 2010. Currently, General Clark serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wesley K. Clark & Associates, a strategic consulting firm he founded in March 2003. General Clark has served as an advisor to and a board member of numerous domestic and international energy companies, including Bankers Petroleum Ltd., a Canadian-based oil and gas exploration and production company and Juhl Wind, Inc., a wind energy provider.
