Ralph Morey owner of Restorations Unlimited II has worked as a professional automotive restorer since 1968. He established Restorations in 1971. Ralph specializes in paint and body work. He has a passion for the preservation of antique and classic cars and their history. A 1931 Ford Model A five window coupe with a 1954 Cadillac engine and transmission was the first car he built in 1964 and still owns it. This was the beginning of his passion for old cars. When he was young Ralph worked as a mold maker for Monogram Models duplicating famous hot rods of that era. Throughout his career he has owned several antiques and classics including a 1935 Cadillac, a 1936 Cadillac, a 1931 Buick, a 1934 Ford, a Cobra replica, a Sebring MX, a 1939 LaSalle Coupe, a 1947 Chevy and a 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe. Ralph says this business is demanding and challenging yet highly rewarding. Ralph is a member of many different national and local car clubs and often hosts club gatherings and tours at his facility. Ray Morey has worked for his brother at Restorations Unlimited II for 35 years. Before joining Restorations Ray worked at Customs by Beaver where he learned the craft of restoring automobiles. When he was very young he apprenticed as a mold maker where he learned valuable machining skills. At Restorations Ray is the upholsterer, does panel fabricating, coachwork, mechanical and electrical assembly and troubleshooting. Ray claims no two restorations are ever the same. There is always something new to learn and challenge your skills. He enjoys being a part of resurrecting pieces of automotive history. At age 15 Ray bought his first car, a 1940 Ford, and restored it. He has also owned a 1968 Corvette, a 1969 Corvette, a 1937 120 Club Sedan Packard and currently owns a 1904 Mitchell B2 Runabout, a 1907 Holsman Autobuggy Highwheeler, a 1900 Mobile Stanhope Roadster. On his own time Ray enjoys working on and driving his brass era cars and is an active member and judge for the Antique Auto Club of America (AACA) and the Horseless Carriage Club of America (HCCA). Scott Brommelkamp has been employed by Restorations Unlimited II since 1997. He has worked in the auto industry since 1980 and for the 5 years before joining Restorations was a full time painter at Steve Foley Cadillac and Rolls Royce. At Restorations he does panel fabrication, painting, preparation, buffing, assembly and disassembly. Scott prefers working on antique and classic cars. He hopes that the next generation of craftsman can excell in the higher level of quality required for the restoration industry. The auto repair and the restoration industry are two different worlds and Scott prefers restoration because he is so meticulous. On his own time Scott restores muscle cars such as 442, Chevelles and Camaros. Scott is currently restoring a late 1970's Pontiac Trans Am for himself. Joe Mangano began his career as a painter in 1978 for a Chevy dealership. After working in body shops that wouldn't allow him to spend the time doing meticulous and perfect repairs, he realized he needed to work at a restoration shop where his talent and craft would be welcomed.
