Lifespan, Rhode Island's first Health System, was founded in 1994 by Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. Today, Lifespan partners include the best names in health care in the region. Working together, Lifespan partners are strengthened by:Lifespan is a not-for-profit organization overseen by a board of directors, volunteer community leaders who are guided by the Lifespan Mission. In keeping with our mission, we offer the Lifespan Health Connection, Lifespan Community Health Services and our Find a Physician online tool to provide the community with up-to-the-minute health care resources. Lifespan and its partner hospitals recruit, hire, train and promote a diverse workforce.
