Description

This is the largest and greenest multifamily complex ever built by a Habitat for Humanity affiliate in the nation, and the development achieved LEED Gold Certification in the LEED for Homes program. The affordable, coop housing development consists of three four-story walk-up buildings on a formerly vacant lot in the Ocean Hill-Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn. The 41 residences share a common landscaped garden with a variety of planted, sitting and play areas. A contractor built the core and shell of the buildings.
