He is married and has two children. Jim started his insurance career in 1988. In August of 1999, Jim sold his Allstate Insurance Agency in Wayzata, MN and went into partnership with Marv Bjugan at Richfield State Insurance. To broaden his insurance knowledge he became an underwriter for Austin Mutual. Chad joined Richfield State Insurance in 2001. Chad is an active board member of the Richfield Chamber of Commerce and is also Board Chair in 2007. He also serves on the Military Affairs council associated with the 934th Air Force Wing. He graduated from the University of Minnesota at Duluth where he played lacrosse. He enjoys running marathons, playing golf, and spending time with his family. He spent 10 years as an agent and the next 11 years as a sales manager with Allstate. In 1992 he purchased his first insurance agency and moved to the current Richfield location when he purchased the Richfield State Agency in 1994. Marv attended Luther College and Mankato State University. Marv's activity in the Richfield Rotary Club and the Richfield Chamber of Commerce was also vital in getting Richfield State Insurance inducted into the Small Business Hall of Fame in 2002. He has served as chair of the Chamber of Commerce and has been awarded the Farrington Award for community service. He also serves on the Region 8 board of the Minnesota Independent Agents and Brokers. Her diverse insurance background brings tremendous value to the agency. She has been an independent Property and Casualty Insurance agent for 9 years with an additional 5 years of experience in the insurance industry working with annuities, life, disability, long term care, health and security products. Kelly has always been active in the community participating in business, educational and sports organizations; Toastmasters International, BNI, PNG, Richfield Chamber, Twin Cities Sport & Recreation.
