James Gillis joined Ridgestone Bank in December, 2013 as a Commercial Lender. He has more than 30 years of banking and real estate lending experience in addition to extensive experience in franchise, restaurant and hospitality financing. Gillis has worked at major financial organizations in the Chicagoland market and holds a Master of Science Real Estate Law Degree. At Ridgestone, Gillis will work with mortgage brokers and commercial realtors to provide financing solutions to customers utilizing SBA programs.

This Ohio-based company was in an industry that saw revenue declining and margins squeezed as a result of a downfall in the economy. They had too much short term debt on their construction equipment to qualify for most loans. After working with this company for over a year, Ridgestone was able to provide two different loans to meet their needs. The USDA loan is an 85% LTV real estate refinance with a 20 year term, and the SBA loan is a 10 year term loan to refinance machinery and equipment. The loans resulted in an annual cash flow savings of $146,000.
