Description

Andy came to River Architects with nine years of experience in the U.S. Navy followed by three years working in construction. He has used this experience to augment his exemplary skills as a construction administrator in the firm. Since joining the firm in 1999, Andy has mastered the balancing act and finesse necessary to successfully navigate the most complex construction projects. He uses his construction knowledge to write specifications and maintain quality in our documents.

Our LEED Certified 10,000 square foot office building was designed to provide a light filled and creative work environment. The restored site in downtown La Crosse borders the La Crosse River and is a remediated former brownfield that once was an auto salvage yard. The delicate nature of the adjacent marsh landscape and the tight site restrictions posed challenges which required an imaginative solution to meet the programmatic needs of the building. The L-shaped plan provides space for focused individual work, collaboration, and research.

Cheryl brings 40 plus years of experience in construction accounting and management to her role as Business Manager. This background is reinforced by a strong sense of dedication, accuracy, fairness, and a love for her work. Cheryl relies on these same qualities as she sensitively addresses the firm's human resource needs.

River Architects, Inc. is looking for an experienced and resourceful Project Architect to develop and oversee all aspects of the architectural process. Qualified applicant should be a registered architect and have a minimum of 7 years' experience in campus, civic, commercial, religious and/or preservation projects. Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit required. LEED accredited preferred.

To meet the needs of a growing membership, local business leaders spearheaded a successful capital campaign to develop a new YMCA to replace their small rented facility. The $9.2 million facility opened in August 2006 and features an inviting central lobby with a service center and multi-use lounge with expansive windows overlooking the aquatic complex.
