History: Rivermist Spas was established in 1995 by Mike & Brenda Smith. With a long family heritage in the Hot Tub industry, the Smith’s were seeking to relocate to an area that would allow their family & business to grow into a part of a community. After personally touring dozens of cities, Mike & Brenda happened upon Columbia. The business was established in the Crossroads Shopping Center in the spring of ’95. After 4 years, to better serve their growing clientele, Rivermist relocated to the present day location--a 7,000 sq ft freestanding building on Vandiver Dr. in Columbia. Now many years later, Rivermist has served thousands in Columbia and the surrounding areas. Why River Mist: When deciding to own something like a hot tub, any reasonable person would like to save a few bucks, have a wide selection to choose from, and at the end feel as though they got a "good deal". Well we do have the largest selection of spas in all of Central Missouri. In addition we truly believe we have the 2 premiere brands of hot tubs made today, & our value pricing cannot be beat. But none of these are the real reason you should own a spa from Rivermist. What you truly need in a spa dealer is a company that is committed to your satisfaction throughout your entire ownership, not just the buying process. This experience will last years, the bitterness of poor quality can linger long after a so called sweet deal. Customer service should be your number one priority in evaluating where to buy your spa. Now everyone claims to have great service but how do you know who's serious and who's just giving you another sales pitch?
