Walker-Ross Printing was named for the two men who founded the company in the early 1940’s – Frank Walker and George Ross. Frank Walker was a professional baseball player. His claim to fame was a fight with Ty Cobb. After his days in baseball, he purchased the local farm team in Rocky Mount, North Carolina and also started a business supply store with George Ross. Soon the business became a small printing facility to serve the public needs.
