Thom Suddeth first opened The Road Runner Running Store in 1983, which makes it the oldest running store in Richmond and one of the oldest in Virginia. After growing into several locations on the southside and in Richmond, Thom consolidated the locations in March of 2003 into their current location in Carytown.
