Rochester Optical is an independently owned and operated optical lab and manufacturer, and is not affiliated with Google or Google Glass.

Military Eyewear Rochester Optical is proud to have provided our country decades of service by supplying the military with specialized eyewear. In 1932, Rochester Optical began as a manufacturer of high-quality lenses. Later, we became one of the few frame manufacturers in the country. We quickly gained a reputation for service and quality, and we established ongoing contracts with the Department of Defense to supply armed forces with rugged, combat-ready eyewear. Even today, Rochester Optical remains a leading supplier of specialized military eyewear.

For over 80 years, we have proudly served men and women of the armed forces, past and present. We also serve eye care professionals, corporate customers, and members of our local community.

We manufacture a number of specialty eyeglass frames designed to outfit mission critical military gear with prescription lenses. Our specialty frames are standardized to fit protective gear such as the M40 and M45 gas masks.
