Company History Rockton Software was started in 1999, when Mark Rockwell left a prominent Seattle-area Great Plains reseller to break out on his own as a consultant, specializing in Dexterity customizations for the Great Plains channel. As many people wonder, Rockton is a combination of Mark Rockwell’s last name with his wife’s, Kelli Sexton (with the alternative name combinations reserved for other lines of business).
