At the time, the two entrepreneurs started the company with 4,000 sq. ft. of selling space. Soon, additions to the company were made adding a second floor warehouse, larger showroom space and a custom chap shop.These changes increased the square footage at Rod's to 17,000 sq. ft. In 1988, long-time employee and manager, Scott Hartle purchased the Company and assumed the position of President which he holds today. Under Hartle's leadership, Rod's has grown to be one of the leading Western apparel and tack stores in the Midwest.
