Roger Kohn, M.D. is one of the few oculofacial plastic surgeons to train in two such programs: the first at the University of Alabama with Alston Callahan, M.D. - one of the three founding fathers of the subspecialty of oculofacial plastic surgery; the second at Harvard Medical School with Charles Beyer, M.D. - the founding Chief of Oculofacial Plastic Surgery at Harvard. In over two decades of subsequent surgical practice, Dr. Kohn has performed thousands of cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures. His qualifications and expertise have received extensive recognition: Clinical appointment at U.C.L.A. School of Medicine at the full professor level for over 25 years.

Botox injection is a safe and very effective treatment of essential blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, and Meige's syndrome. Although repeated treatment is usually required, it has been the definitive treatment for these conditions for over 20 years. Dr. Kohn served as one of the 50 original scientific investigators in the world whose work and the results of their over 10,000 cases led to the initial Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of Botox in 1985.
