Rothchild, MD., is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of eye diseases. He has special interest in laser eye surgery, corneal and refractive surgery, and advanced cataract surgery.Dr. Rothchild received the Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College; he did his internship at UCLA's St. Mary's Medical Center, and his residency at Cornell/North Shore University Hospital in New York. He also completed an externship in cataract and corneal surgery at Moorfield's Eye Hospital in London, England.What distinguishes Dr. Rothchild from other doctors performing refractive surgery is his completion of a 13-month corneal and refractive surgery fellowship at Ohio State University. This training is far above and beyond that of most ophthalmologists performing Refractive Surgery.
