A multiple piece CNC or sand cast, female aluminum mold is created based of a prototype. The mold is filled with a specific quantity of plastic powder and then rotated thtough a heating and cooling cycle on the rotational molding machine. The powder fuses together and lines the inside of the mold creating a plastic part. Once the cycle is complete, the mold is separated and the plastic "vessel" part is removed and sent to the finishing department for routing / trimming. Secondary opertaions can be carried out offline together with any assembly work required.
