Since the firm was founded in 1981, Roy & Associates has established a strong reputation for providing high quality audit services. Auditing has been a core service of our practice since inception, and we continue to work diligently to grow and improve our audit process. Although auditing is not the only service we provide, it is a service we devote a high level of commitment to, and one which enhances our understanding of organizational structure and internal control. We specialize in audits of subsidized housing projects, municipalities, and non-profit organizations.
Jennifer graduated from Husson College in Bangor, Maine in 2002 with a B.S. in Accounting; she became a CPA in 2004. Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer worked for the State of Maine's Department of Audit for four years and four years at the State's Financial Reporting division of the Office of the State Controller. Since joining the firm, she has gained substantial experience providing services to Public Housing Authorities (PHA's) and municipalities ranging from small Towns to mid-sized Cities. She also has experience in the banking and non-profit industries.
Roy & Associates was founded in 1981 by Adrien (Joe) Roy, Jr., CPA. We have been successfully servicing our clients ever since.
Matthew is a 2007 graduate of Husson College with a B.S. degree in Accounting, and an M.B.S. in Business. Matthew began his accounting career in Southern Maine and became a part of Roy & Associates in May, 2010. Matthew has experience in individual and corporate taxation, small business accounting, auditing, and non-profit services. Matthew is originally from Fairfield, Maine, though he spent much of his time in Presque Isle during the summers with his Aunt and Uncle. During his free time Matthew enjoys relaxing with his family, lifting weights, and playing golf.
Debbie joined the firm in 1981 after having financial positions in banking, papermaking and healthcare industries. As the firm's Data Processing Manager, she oversees the firm's small business accounting department. Debbie became a Quickbooks Pro Advisor in 1999 and has extensive experience in setting up bookkeeping systems for our varied small business clients. Types of industries she has assisted include healthcare, food, retail, rental, collections, attorneys, and non-profits.
