Requirements Analysis and Planning Charrettes, US Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville (supporting multiple installations), (September 2009-ongoing) Rubicon, Higginbotham, Briggs, and Associates, and Mason & Hanger, Incorporated, are supporting the US Army Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville, Alabama in performing requirements analysis and/or planning charrettes for over forty projects throughout the Army. TAB and RPLANS Updates, Fort Bliss, Texas, (July 2009-ongoing) Rubicon, Ecology & Environment, the US Army Corps of Engineers Fort Worth District and the Fort Bliss Directorate of Public Works are working to update the installation Tabulation of Existing and Required Facilities ( TAB ) and the Real Property Planning and Analysis System ( RPLANS ) for the Fort Bliss cantonment. The project will require an analysis of the end-state installation force structure, requirements analysis using the Army’s Facility Planning System ( FPS ) and other established Army criteria and data sources, and reconciliation and coordination with existing installation master plan and area development plans. Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility (TEMF) Design Criteria, Headquarters US Army Corps of Engineers, (July 2009-ongoing) Rubicon is evaluating the planning criteria and methodology for Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facilities (TEMF). Vehicle Maintenance Facility complex requirements are currently determined based on number and MOSs of maintenance personnel, and this project will evaluate whether using vehicle throughput and other metrics will generate facility requirements that more accurately reflect the experiences and requirements of the field. Rubicon is working with Headquarters, US Army Corps of Engineers (and the Louisville District), the US Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratories (USACERL), and Knight Architects, Incorporated General Purpose Warehouse and Central Issue Facility Standard Design, Fort Worth District Center of Standardization, (July 2009-ongoing) Working with the US Army Corps of Engineers Center of Standardization (Fort Worth District) and Ecology & Environment, Rubicon is developing a standard design for General Purpose Installation Warehouses and Central Issue Facilities. The project includes evaluations of warehouse practices and requirements at multiple installations and organizations, and will include planning support and training. On-Site Master Planning Support, Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, (July 2009-ongoing) Under a sub-contract arrangement with MG’s Environmental Services, LLC, Rubicon is providing long-term on-site Master Planning support to Fort A. P. Hill , Virginia. Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH) Module Analysis, Fort Worth District Center of Standardization, May - June 2009 Rubicon provided a study of barracks configurations and sizes, cross-analyzed against installation and unit missions, to determine the optimal barracks module size for use in barracks programming. Rubicon worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers Center of Standardization (Fort Worth District) and Ecology & Environment on this project.
