Description

We may use medical information about patients to provide patients with medical treatment or services. We may disclose medical information about patients to doctors, nurses, technicians, medical students, or other hospital personnel who are involved in taking care of patients at the hospital. For example, a doctor treating patients for a broken leg may need to know if patients have diabetes because diabetes may slow the healing process. In addition, the doctor may need to tell the dietitian if patients have diabetes so that we can arrange for appropriate meals. Different departments of the hospital also may share medical information about patients in order to coordinate the different things patients need, such as prescriptions, lab work and x-rays. We also may disclose medical information about patients to people outside the hospital who may be involved in a patient’s medical care after patients leave the hospital, such as family members, clergy or others we use to provide services that are part of a patient’s care.

We are equipped with a GE Proteus x-ray machine and a state-of-the-art Siemen’s digital portable machine that is used for trauma and inpatients that are unable to come into the x-ray room. We are also equipped with an Agfa computerized radiology system ensuring the highest quality images which are sent almost instantly to the ordering physiciain and radiologist for timely and accurate diagnoses so our patients will receive the most effective treatment available.
