Running Unlimited is a running specialty store located in Palatine, IL (in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago). We are not some huge Internet dotcom conglomerate running shoe empire. We have been fitting runners, walkers, and doctors' patients in the proper shoe for over 24 years. We believe in fit over fashion and we don't believe in running magazine shoe reviews.For obvious reasons, a proper shoe fitting is next to impossible to do over the Internet. However, if you have any questions about how a shoe fits, or if you need advice of any kind (we're experts on relationships and dating) please email us or give us a call at 847-991-9466 during store hours (listed below).If you live in the Chicagoland area, we recommend that you set aside some time to come in and see us. Before we will recommend a shoe for you, we need to look at your feet and watch you walk. It's not something we'd like to admit to just anyone on the street, but our fellow runners and customers appreciate it- we know feet! We use a simple procedure known as gait analysis to determine your biomechanics and rate of pronation. This painless procedure is then followed by a very painful procedure which involves the Brannock device. OK, we're joking (yes, in some remote parts of the world this is still done), we're just going to measure the length and width of your feet. Now that we know your feet, we can get down to business and bring out the shoes that are right for you. Stop in and see us- we'll spoil you!
