A National Historic Landmark, the Ryman Auditorium was built as a tabernacle by Captain Thomas G. Ryman in 1892, served as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943-74, and was completely renovated in 1994. The Ryman is open for tours during the day and at night offers a wide variety of entertainment performances, just as it has for over 120 years. The venue was voted the 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Pollstar Theatre of the Year. Ryman Auditorium is owned by Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. (NYSE: RHP), a Nashville-based REIT that also owns and operates the Grand Ole Opry, and 650 AM WSM.

An Oscar-winner for his portrayal of a grizzled former country music legend in the 2009 film Crazy Heart , actor, songwriter, and musician Jeff Bridges released his debut album Be Here Soon in 2000 and his self-titled major-label follow up on Blue Note Records in 2011. Produced by Bridges’ Crazy Heart collaborator, the Academy Award-winning, multiple-Grammy Award-winning songwriter, musician, and producer T Bone Burnett, the album was a culmination of their more than three decade personal, professional, and musical friendship (the two met in 1980 on the set of Heaven’s Gate ).

Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium and entertainment banking leader, SunTrust Bank, have launched A Year of Tickets sweepstakes. The huge sweepstakes offering is the first of its kind for the legendary venue which entered a multi-year partnership with SunTrust late last year. A Year of Tickets sweepstakes gives music lovers the chance to enter-to-win a year of tickets to Ryman concerts via the Ryman's Facebook page. Entry couldn't be easier: first "like" both the Ryman and SunTrust Facebook pages and then fill out a simple entry form.

The original name of Ryman Auditorium was Union Gospel Tabernacle. The building was built by Tom Ryman in 1892 as a place for Nashvillians to attend revivals and other religious gatherings. The Springer Mountain Farms Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman 2014 concert series kicks off on June 26 with twenty-time Grammy® award winner singer-songwriter and Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill. The annual Red, White and Bluegrass show on July 3 will see progressive Bluegrass group Yonder Mountain String Band make their Ryman headlining debut with special guests Sam Bush, Jake Jolliff and Allie Kral.
