As Church Development Director of S & B Construction, Joe's focus is presenting our unique process of facilitating vision assessment, church growth, design, funding and construction of church and school facilities; meeting with Pastors, school officials, church and school boards, and committees. Joe came on board at S & B in March of 2011, bringing with him over 15 years of sales and marketing experience in the Christian market. In 1995 he helped launch a Christian sales and marketing company, servicing independent Christian bookstores nationwide, this company became one of the premier marketing groups in the country, and Joe was one of the top producers. Joe has been involved in church his whole life; working at almost every level, including lay and ministerial. He brings unique insight, understanding both sides of the table, both Pastoral and Lay. Joe and his wife have been married since 1975 and have two children. When time permits, Joe enjoys golf and soon spending time with their first grandchild.

S & B has been assembling project teams through development and construction since 1972. With a design / build project being essentially a development project from the start, we are poised to provide you with a project team and management tailored to your industry and preferences employing a unique array of resources. We maintain close relationships with a variety of architectural and engineering professionals whom we can choose based upon their design experience in a particular industry, and understanding of geographical location and site details. Unlike other contractors, we have 40 years of experience in developing projects. As such, we are proficient in the process, thoroughly familiar and comfortable with public hearings, plan commission and drainage board review, and coordination through city and count officials throughout several states. Unlike other contractors, S & B Construction can quickly tap into these resources during the design of your project to avoid costly delays due to previously unforeseen circumstances.

S & B Construction acts in the capacity of Construction Manager and/or General Contractor on a wide variety of projects throughout our region. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, S & B has completed projects in Oklahoma, Missouri, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, Illinois, Ohio, Iowa, Kansas, and Louisiana. Our project managers and superintendents all have several years of experience in the commercial construction industry. They are accustomed to managing jobs and coordinating subcontractors and materials outside our home state.

S & B Construction opened its doors for business as a general contractor in 1972. Established as the construction building arm of a prominent Indiana real estate development company, The Skinner & Broadbent Construction Company forged ahead with a niche in local retail construction projects. Over the years, we have applied our unique expertise and extensive construction experience to millions of square feet of new construction and completed renovation work. Today, S & B Construction is known and recognized for its diversity in project experience throughout the Midwest Region and Florida.
