The technical process system SAMI VE LLC uses is the Value Method. We use this process because it is tested, highly effective, and reduces the risk that a result won't meet the needs of our customers. Unlike classical Total Quality Management (TQM) and Reengineering/Reinvention it is a full, complete process. These processes have excellent techniques and some excellent results.
SAMI facilitated value studies and conducted selection phase activities have allowed our customers to significantly improve their staff's production. While we have not received enough information to know all the results, the return that our customers have shared with us (in the last three years) represents more than 100 staff equivalent positions. The increase production allowed people to spend more of their time on high return activities that produced a better return for the customers of their products and services. However, freeing resources does not always mean laying off people.
Since the Value Method is highly effective and productive, the risk of not obtaining a good return on your investment in it is very low. However, there is no "magic pill" for business. It takes both time and staff to perform the kind of value study that will produce the optimum result that pays high dividends. When you have a small business, expending as much as $60,000 (your own resources, consultant fees, and other costs) to generate the increase in profits you want for your business may be more than your company believes it can handle economically.
IPA and Your Business: If your company has obtained a IPA audit, you have probably had several VIP's recommendations. Our firm specializes in helping your business perform the VIP and ensure you attain the intended benefits. Further, our reporting system can be used in future audits to show your executives, stockholders, and clients that the VIP was performed as specified and the benefits were derived.
