Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB) is an award winning architecture, interior design and planning firm with offices in Chicago and San Francisco. SCB has extensive commercial and institutional design experience in multi-family residential, hospitality, retail, corporate office, higher-education, laboratory, and transportation facilities.

Richard Tepp brings more than 30 years of design experience to SCB and has led teams designing award-winning office spaces, healthcare projects and higher education facilities. Known for his sustainable and creative spaces, he has managed numerous LEED certified projects including University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management and University of California, Santa Barbara Student Resource Building. As project manager, Tepp will oversee interior design production and technical implementation, ensuring projects are expertly completed on time and within budget.

Chiara Santini lends an international perspective and unique point of view to the design of interior spaces. She brings with her an intimate knowledge of residential and hospitality interiors, including expertise in furniture design. Prior to moving to Chicago, Santini, oversaw teams designing high-end hotels, showrooms and boutiques across Europe and the Middle East. At SCB, Santini will supervise project design and work closely with SCB architecture teams to provide holistic design solutions for the firm’s residential and hospitality projects.

Tim Stevens, AIA, LEED AP, has been named Principal at SCB. Stevens joined SCB’s San Francisco office early in 2012, and is a recognized expert in the planning and design of student life facilities, including award-winning work at nearly all of the University of California campuses. Stevens is currently designing a new $39M classroom and academic office building at the University of California, Merced that is targeting LEED Platinum certification.

Greenbuild is the world's largest event dedicated to greenbuilding. On November 17th, 2010, Patterson was a panelist at an offsite educational session examining the efforts of a local community to become Chicago’s greenest neighborhood. Led by J. Marshall Eames, Director of Environmental Sustainability at Loyola University Chicago (LUC), the workshop described the evolution of the Edgewater Environmental Sustainability Project, a grassroots effort to develop a master plan for greening a densely populated and established urban area.
