Denise Lynn Merkle, Ph.D., president of SciConsult, Inc., has a diverse background that includes over 20 years scientific experience in academic, government (NIH), and industrial settings. She holds a BA in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Merkle followed her dissertation with postdoctoral studies at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and at the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Merkle has worked in the biopharmaceutical industry and as an independent consultant in chemistry.
