Pamela J. Kirby, Ph.D. – Chairman of the Board Dr. Kirby has served as the Chairman of our board of directors since January 2006 and has served as a director since December 2004. She brings over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Dr. Kirby served as a director of Novo Nordisk A/S, a global healthcare company, from 2008 to 2011 and as a member of the board of Simmons & Simmons LLP, an international law firm, from 2011 to 2013.
