Description

SMS was founded in 1983 by Les Huntsman and George Kee. Mr. Huntsman had several years in Management and Engineering prior to establishing SMS and Mr. Kee had several years in Marketing different electrical products to the coal mines located in the Illinois Coal Basin. Special Mine Services' corporate offices and manufacturing facilities are located in West Frankfort, Illinois. It also has locations in Petersburg, Indiana and Central City, Kentucky with a sales office in Toronto, Canada. SMS purchased the assets of a company involved in the molding of rubber connectors used in mining, tunneling, heavy industry, and the entertainment industries since the mid 60's. We do most of our machining of contact pins and manufacturing molds in-house. We strive to provide the best service, manufacture quality products, and delivery at reasonable prices. Our products are routinely sold through reputable distributors which are selected from strategic locations across North America. Special Mine Services manufactures a complete line of molded neoprene single, multi-pole, and quick-lok connectors for the Entertainment, Mining, & Government industries engineered and designed to be interchangeable and compatible with other major manufactured connectors.
