That ’s why all STL Computer And Cable Micro-Computers are assembled with the identical quality components. Our base system is of the highest quality, even so, brand substitutions are acceptable. TESTING As a standard policy at STL Computer And Cable all of our individually assembled systems go through rigorous testing before they are shipped to our customers. These tests include: 1. Full 48 hour burn in of system board. 2. All board level components are individually tested. This includes CPU, RAM, DMA channels, interrupts etc. 3. Serial and Parallel ports are tested with loop back connectors. 4. Modems are configured and dialed out to an outside service to confirm operation. 5. Ethernet cards are brought up on our network and data is transferred to confirm proper operation. 6. Video cards are given RAM and graphic tests then brought up under windows to confirm proper operation. 7. Disk Drives, hard and floppy, are accessed and formatted to confirm proper operation. 8. Any special cards are configured and tested i.e. sound cards, SCSI devices etc. The computer industry is constantly evolving and technology changes come on a daily basis.
