This position is responsible for the development and on-going maintenance of Nuclear Generation and Station procedures and guidelines.

This position is the subject matter expert responsible for the maintaining the plant pump program. Activities include reviewing maintenance practices associated with pumps and pump performance data to improve reliability. The incumbent will provide the technical, communication & leadership skills needed to understand all engineering, manufacturing & repair facets of the pump equipment, analyze & resolve unique operating problems for site pumps. Also this position will be expected to provide real time support to Operations and Maintenance at South Texas Project.

The Electrical System Engineer/Engineering Specialist will provide technical station leadership and expertise for the management and optimization of system and equipment reliability and performance. Core work for this position includes rigorous system and component trending, system walk-downs, corrective action management, preventative maintenance activities and industry group participation. Additional responsibilities include developing plans to address equipment obsolescence issues, technical troubleshooting, and complex problem solving activities.

Wadsworth, Texas –March 16, 2011 –The South Texas Project continues to closely watch the issues unfolding at Tokyo Electric Power Company's (TEPCO) Fukushima Daiichi nuclear station. The company is working with the U.S. nuclear industry to provide assistance and support.

This discipline specific position develops and revises work packages for corrective and preventative maintenance and modifications in support of work process milestones; utilizes the Corrective Action Program (CAP) and Work Management System to provide quality documents and corrective actions; and provides organizational interface to resolve restraints.
