Description
Sidney Stein, founder of S. Stein & Company, began his career in the office furniture industry as a cabinet maker in Chicago. He opened his first furniture store at Ogden and Paulina in 1930 with just 22,000 square feet of space, then moving downtown to Lake Street in 1939, where the business was anchored for 44 years.
