As a lifelong resident of Rhode Island, Capt. Dresser has more than 20 years of experience in the local maritime industry. He has spent much of his professional career on Narragansett Bay and has experience running commercial work boats as well as starting and growing marine related businesses. In 2003, he founded Confident Captain/Ocean Pros, an industry-leading maritime training facility in the heart of Newport. He will continue to run Confident Captain while at the helm of Clean The Bay.

The Safe/Sea Fleet consists of six purpose built rescue towboats that combine the latest hull, propulsion, and navigation technologies to provide the safest and fastest boat towing, salvage, and assistance services possible to our customers.

The Safe/Sea Staff is a highly experienced and dedicated team that is committed to providing our customers the excellent service that they have come to expect.

Safe/Sea is a marine assistance company based in Rhode Island. We provide boat towing, salvage and general assistance to recreational boaters in all Rhode Island waters, including Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island Sound, and Block Island Sound, up to 25 nautical miles south of Block Island. We operate a fleet of six specially designed and custom built rescue towboats that are ready to respond to calls for assistance 24 hours a day. During the summer boating season, we base our vessels in Wickford, Point Judith, and Block Island.

All the top-notch equipment in the world won't do you a bit of good in our business unless there's a fully qualified, experienced, and dedicated staff to put it to work. At Safe/Sea, we believe that staff training is a continuous process, and we work tirelessly to hone our employees' problem solving skills; after all, our mission is to solve problems for our customers.
