SafeWay Certifications, based in Austin, Texas, specializes in online certifications for government agencies. All agencies listed on our site for training have entered into agreements with SafeWay Class an approved provider exclusively with their city, county or state department. We do not offer classes simply \"for informational purposes\". With experience in the restaurant management industry, we recognized the importance of public safety education in the restaurant/bar industry. SafeWay Class is licensed to administer the Professional Food Manager Certification exam throughout Texas. The exam we administer is a nationally accredited exam through Thompson Prometric, formerly Experior Assessments. As we administered these exams throughout the State of Texas, we received much feedback from restaurant managers that showed a need for an online version of the Food Handler Certification. They expressed that it would be easier for them to stay at 100% compliance with Health Department regulations, if there were a more convenient alternative for the certification process.
