Teachers > Teacher Training Graduates! KSY TEACHER TRAINING GRADUATES! This season we are STOKED to offer you Community Classes on Sundays through 12/26/10 taught by fantastic graduates of our 200-hour Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training Program! These are long-time students at Kansas Siddhi Yoga who have made that extra investment in the integration of this vast body of knowledge that is YOGA! And they are ready to bring it to you! These classes are offerred at a Community Class price of $8 for everyone (cash or check only please!). If it's your first time visiting our studio, please plan to arrive early so you can get acquainted and fill out a new student card. This season's fantastic foursome of teachers are: Jen Denslow: Spending ten years growing an aromatherapy business, Blooming Lotus, and raising her sacred son, Harper, has brought deep awareness to the need for stress relief and balance in our crazy-busy lives. Jen is motivated by her desire to help people shift their daily habits to live consciously and discover their most joyous, authentic selves. She approaches yoga and life with a deep sense of gratitude and compassion and a spirited sense of humor. Her intention is to empower and inspire students on their path of transformation! Kirsten Gustafson: Kirsten has been practicing yoga since 2002, the last 4 at Kansas Siddhi Yoga. Her relationship to the practice and in particular to this studio is one of deep gratitude. So far the journey has been staggeringly fruitful! Not to mention fun!! The more she learns, the more she wants to know and the more she knows the more she wants everyone to know. She believes this beautiful, ancient and many layered practice is accessible to absolutely everyone. Tim Base: Growing up Tim was quite removed from his body, always clumsy, and towering over his peers. Instead, he found comfort in his mind. He came to Kansas City in 2007 to care for his Grandparents, crossed paths with Sarah Kucera and began practicing yoga at Kansas Siddhi Yoga. The awkwardness of his youth returned when Tim was on his mat, but having the opportunity to observe his Grandparents shifted his perspective from embarrassment to one of reverence for the body-mind complex. He enjoys embracing the awkward everywhere in life to show gratitude to the Greatness we are all capable of attaining! Sharon Prothe: Sharon stumbled upon yoga at the gym in 2002 to "get a good stretch". She quickly realized in her first downward facing dog that this practice was more than just about being flexible. The linking of breath and movement, as moving meditation, was just what this corporate-working-wife-and-mommy-of-two needed at the time. Sharon's yoga practice also gave her the time to hop, stand on her head and balance on her arms. In those moments she is able to smile a little bigger, breathe a little deeper and be mindful of all her blessings. She has since left the corporate world to spend her "work days" inspiring others to play, smile, and breathe more. To see the lineup and to come support our graduates, check out our online calendar. This session runs Sundays 10/10/10 - 12/26/10.
