Salem Clinic was founded in 1925 by a group of three physicians. The Clinic began in the old Masonic Temple, which was located at High and State Streets. Growth and development then prompted a move to the Livesly Building and from there to the Griffin Building in 1955. In 1959, the Clinic moved into its own building at 222 High Street and remained there until August 11, 1975, when the present Clinic building at 2020 Capitol Street NE was officially occupied.In addition to our medical providers, the main Clinic houses full service laboratory and radiology departments. Three facilities in addition to the main Clinic are available for patient convenience. The multispecialty group practice setting enables us to provide our patients with comprehensive care and the benefit of varied specialties. At the present time we have sixteen family practice physicians, eleven internal medicine physicians, five OB/GYN physicians, four surgeons, two gastroenterology physicians, one allergy physician, one pediatric physician, two urgent care physicians, one physician assistant, one women’s health care nurse practitioner, one adult nurse practitioner, one family nurse practitioner and one dietitian.Our mission at Salem Clinic is to improve the health of those we serve in a spirit of compassion and respect.
