Russell has deep experience in full-stack software development with expertise in machine learning, data mining and information visualization. He has published peer-reviewed papers on a number of topics, including Latent Dirichlet Allocation, cyber infrastructure development, and research activity visualization. He is a major contributor and one of the world's top technical experts on the Experience API. Russell studied Information Science at Indiana University where he also led a team of developers in a research group.
