The Behavioral Health Services staff at the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center provides compassionate, confidential counseling for our patients. We adhere to the highest quality and best practices in the field of behavioral health care. Substance abuse services are available through our Intensive Outpatient Program, including gambling addictions counseling. We provide counseling and psychiatric services for adults, children (5 yrs & older), adolescents, groups and families.

It was after the team’s relief aid to tornado stricken Joplin, Missouri, that its members announced Purdom as the award recipient. He arrived in Joplin, along with 50 other team members, 12 hours after the recent deadly tornados struck. Purdom remained in Joplin for 3 days. Purdom also traveled to Haiti to aid victims following the devastating earthquake there. “We probably respond to disasters on an average of 3 times per year,” he noted. Purdom has been with the “Missouri1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team” team for over 5 years.

William LaHue, MD, practices at SURHC’s Lafayette Family Medical, Dental and WIC Services practice office in Lexington, Missouri. He has provided medical care to patients in Lafayette County for over 50 years and is a skilled surgeon.
