Piper Huggins Executive Director phuggins@savehomelessanimals.org Piper joined SAVE in November of 2009. She brings to the shelter a wealth of non-profit administrative and fundraising experience. She will move SAVE through a capital campaign to relocate the shelter from its current site (to Montgomery Township) and to position SAVE to become a model shelter for the State of New Jersey and the region. Piper was the corporate and foundation director for four years at McCarter Theatre, and prior to McCarter, she spent five years serving as the director of development for Chapin School. She holds a Masters in educational administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a B.A. from Lake Forest College. Donielle Killian-Gioia Director of Shelter Operations donielle@savehomelessanimals.org Now in her fourth year, Donielle oversees the daily operations of the SAVE shelter. Certified as a Veterinary Technician with 15 years experience in private practice, she manages and trains staff, collaborates with partnering veterinary hospitals, assists with adoptions and community events, and works directly with local Animal Control and other shelters. Her areas of expertise include customer service, animal welfare and animal behavior assessment. Barbara Dorner Assistant Director of Shelter Operations barbara@savehomelessanimals.org Barbara oversees SAVE's volunteer program and works directly with the public to help promote adoptions. She joined the SAVE staff in November of 2008. Barbara has over twenty years of experience rescuing of kittens and cats. She actively promotes TNR (Trap, Neuter and Release) programs at SAVE and organizes numerous adoption events. She is longstanding member of the board of directors for Animals in Distress.
