About Scandinavian Trends Scandinavian Trends is owned by husband and wife Chris and Merete Bendtsen. The Bendtsens opened their store in 1966 in Ghiradelli Square in San Francisco. It has since become the Bay Area's most beloved resource for fine Scandinavian shopping. The Bendtsens share the traditions of their native country with their customers with tremendous enthusiasm, and have now branched out to operating a second shop in the historic town square of Sonoma, California. The Bendtsens maintain friendly and helpful connections with the gifted craftspeople and suppliers of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland in order to keep Scandinavian Trends' 2 locations stocked with wonderful Nordic goods. Chris and Merete are eager to hear from you if you're looking for something special from the north countries, and hope that you will enjoy browsing their ever-growing website.
