They were nominated by Private Brendon Whitlock, of Cape Girardeau, who serves in the Forward Support Company, 1140th Engineer Battalion, Missouri Army National Guard. Brendon stated in the nomination that Schaefer's has gone above and beyond to accommodate him in his military obligations. "When I talked about joining the Guard, they were positive and encouraged me to consider my family's needs first. Upon my return from basic training, they welcomed me back and offered as much time off as I needed to readjust. They have no problems with letting me off for military training. These enclosures are used in the industries of energy, power distribution, waste water treatment, and various OEM equipment manufacturers. They manufacture standard, modified and custom enclosures specific to the required application.
