The Scott Practice began more than 13 years ago and has served hundreds of clients on a range of legal issues. The Scott Practice, LLC legal division consists of three sections: Fiduciary Litigation, Special Needs and Estates & Trusts. We offer a full range of charitable, special needs, estate planning and long-term care services. We also have solid experience handling controversies regarding wills, trustees and other fiduciaries. We are dedicated to providing quality services to families and non-profit organizations.

Debra Scott has more than fifteen years of professional experience as a lawyer and brings a strong combination of law, accounting and public health skills to the SP Consulting and SP Legal divisions. Debra is a strong fiduciary litigator and understands fiduciary and compliance principals resulting from her legal and accounting background. Debra has worked with nonprofit organizations on audit guidance, board governance, IRS Form 1023 Tax-Exempt Applications, nonprofit formations, strategic alliances, fiduciary practices, and strategic management.

We provide legal advice on aging issues, long-term care, Medicaid eligibility, Qualified Income Trusts, Special Needs planning and adult guardianships. Attorney Debra Scott also holds a Master's degree in Public Health from Emory University and is able to provide you a complete perspective as a lawyer and public health professional.

The Scott Practice, LLC is divided into two major sections to provide the best services to the clients we serve. SP Legal provides primarily estates & trusts services, and SP Consulting serves our nonprofit clients. Both sections of the firm provide excellent professional services overseen by the principal Debra Scott, JD, MPH. The Scott Practice, LLC has provided legal services for more than a decade. Since the firm's inception in November of 2000, we have served hundreds of clients on matters involving fiduciary litigation, estates & trusts and business & charitable planning.

SP Consulting, A Division of The Scott Practice, LLC was established to assist health and human services organizations meet their mission objectives. We provide an array of technical, legal and consulting services all designed to help your organization expand its capacity while remaining in compliance with federal regulations and grant requirements.
