ScriptRx was founded in 1999 by a group of professionals coming from hospital administration, emergency department management and information technology backgrounds. The company's first round of institutional funding was provided by VC firm Crossbow Ventures. History of innovation: ScriptRx developed one of the first and only touchscreen technologies for use in healthcare IT at the time. President and CEO Tim Coffield came onto the Board of Directors then ultimately became company CEO.
Mr. Turner has over 20 years of experience in software development and healthcare technology. Most recently, he served as CTO and President of Accu-Med Services, a leading provider of software for the nursing home industry. He has held technology management positions with General Electric, Deloitte & Touche, and International Paper and has managed healthcare technology development teams at MedPlus and Medi-Span.
