Description
On November 30, 2010 Seadrift Coke L.P. was acquired by GrafTech International Holdings, Ltd. GrafTech is one of the world’s premier carbon and graphite materials manufacturer and also one of the largest producers of graphite electrodes. Needle coke is a key component required in the manufacture of graphite electrodes which in turn are used in the production of recycled steel made from scrap metal.
In October of 1996 we were proud to announce our plant’s registration to the ISO 9002 quality program. We are currently certified to ISO Standard 9001:2008. The ISO process provides us with the framework and the discipline to meet or exceed our customers’ expectations and commits us to continuous improvement—essential for remaining a world class operation.
