SCORE Counselors to America's Small Business" is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). SCORE is America's premier source of free and confidential small business advice for entrepreneurs. www.score.org Sonoma County EDB The Sonoma County Economic Development Board (EDB) provides assistance services directed toward encouraging the startup, retention and expansion of Sonoma County businesses and jobs, particularly with small businesses; creation of new jobs and employment opportunities; and diversification of economic activity and strengthening the County's tax base. The EDB has two major functions: to provide information and referral services to help local businesses to start up, succeed, and grow; to develop and disseminate factual data regarding significant economic activities, trends and projections for Sonoma County. In addition, the Economic Development Director performs numerous activities on behalf of the Board of Supervisors ranging from coordination to analysis of issues impacting Sonoma County.

SCORE® SCORE Counselors to America ’s Small Business and the North Coast Chapter 450 in Santa Rosa , held their Installation of Officers and Recognition of Community Supporters luncheon at the John Ash Vintner’s Inn in September. SCORE Chapter members installed for Fiscal year 2013 were: Richard Adler , Sebastopol , Chapter Chair Ray Snipes, Sonoma , Chapter Vice Chair Bern Lefson, Santa Rosa , Secretary Mary Aldrich, Santa Rosa , Treasurer SCORE helps to provide the necessary business planning tools for-profit businesses and to non-profit organizations by offering free and confidential counseling and mentoring, both face-to-face and online, along with low-cost entrepreneurial classes and workshops on special concerns for those starting and building a business. Since 1964, SCORE has been a resources partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration to provide business owners with special resources.
