Sebert Landscaping currently has three locations throughout the Chicagoland area strategically located in the Northwest, West and South regions.Two-thirds of Illinois was once covered by prairie. The prairie is a park-like meadow dominated by grasses and other herbaceous plants. Trees in the prairie landscape are scarce or non-existent. There are 851 species of plants native to Illinois prairies, diversified from region to region. Each habitat can house up to 120 species. Unfortunately, most prairies are not large enough anymore to support such a melting pot of grasses and flowers.There are certain environmental conditions necessary to support the grasslands: uneven rainfalls, dry winters, regular droughts, wind and fire, either natural or manmade. It’s also beneficial to have a herd of bison.
