Seed Research of Oregon was founded in 1983 on the understanding that the professional turf market – especially golf courses – badly needed improved and unique grass seed varieties. So we partnered with the university community, adapting our applied expertise to their research. And we worked hand-in-hand with our customers, listening to their challenges and ideas. The result of this cooperative spirit was exciting new products and services that met customer needs.

Seed Research of Oregon was founded in 1983 with the goal of improving and developing unique grass seed varieties for the professional turfgrass market. Now several decades later, Seed Research of Oregon continues to be a top innovator in the grass seed industry. Headquartered in Corvallis, Oregon, Seed Research of Oregon is nestled in the heart of the Willamette Valley - the world's major grass seed producing area. Willamette Valley seed growers meet the high standards of the industry and are well known for producing consistent, high quality crops.

Seed Research is located in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley, considered to be the "Grass Seed Capital" of the world. Over half of the world's cool season grasses are produced in the Willamette Valley. At Seed Research of Oregon we contract with seed growers to produce thousands of acres of many different varieties and species of grasses. Our production department works closely with seed growers, certification personnel from Oregon State University and various fertilizer and weed control specialists to ensure the highest quality standards.
