Description
The Seeds staff is comprised of dedicated individuals whose contributions are critical to our success. Our credits include public school districts, transition classrooms, Arc-San Diego vocational programs, Home of Guiding Hands, multiple parent groups incuding SELPA and PASS, San Diego Regional Center, San Diego Sheriff's Department, U.S. Fire Department, FEMA, Department of Homeland Security and the International Conference on Disability and Abuse Prevention. Stacy F. Everson, RN, BSN Founder and Executive Director of Seeds Education, Incorporated Stacy F. Everson has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from Dominguez Hills State University (1990), a Public Health Degree in Nursing (1990), Adult Education Credential in Family Life Education (1990) and is Nationally Certified in Family Life Education by the National Council on Family Relations (1993-Current). She also holds a Certificate in Developmental Disabilities Nursing (1998-Current). In 1987, Stacy began work as a Family Life Consultant/Educator at various San Diego developmental service providers. This expanded into sexual abuse investigational services utilized by various agencies such as Adult Protective Services, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department and the California Courts. Stacy noticed a recurring need for sexual abuse education for those individuals with cognitive/developmental disabilities. The "Array of Colors" curriculum was developed to educate individuals susceptible to abuse and empower them through education to understand the various relationships in their lives, boundaries, and abuse awareness/prevention. She received the 2002 Civic Club Award and the News 10 Leadership Award. She coordinates projects, does public speaking, and assesses people with disabilities.
