Mr. Wesner has over seventeen (17) years of experience in the planning, design, construction, startup and operations of membrane treatment facilities. He has successfully managed the membrane process design of some of the most advanced water reclamation projects for supply of low and high pressure boiler feeds in refinery applications. He has managed six (6) integrated membrane projects for the West Basin Municipal Water District in El Segundo, California as well as the East Bay Municipal Utilities District.

SPI has 19 engineers whose focus is dedicated to analyzing all aspects of membranes and advanced treatment processes. Many of SPI’s engineers have experience from manufacturing backgrounds, providing a level of understanding of membrane systems that is unmatched in the industry. SPI’s emphasis on excellence provides the highest quality of membrane system engineering available in the industry.

SPI draws on its vast array of experiences and expertise in microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, and other advanced processes to deliver successful projects to public and private agencies. SPI’s charter is to put an Emphasis on Excellence in every project.

SPI provides services during construction to complement and add value to the construction of the facilities. SPI provides services such as mechanical system review and inspection, piping fabrication inspections and control system coordination during construction to make sure the equipment and processes are implemented as designed. SPI then provides services during commissioning, startup and performance testing that assist with the transition of the facilities to the Owner. SPI provides extensive training of the operations staff during this part of the project.

Since the early 1990s, SPI has assembled a team of Experts providing a “Technology Focused” approach to membrane treatment plant design, construction and operations. We provide our clients a technology focused approach to their treatment plant design. Many of our engineers have previously worked for membrane manufacturers and have an in-depth understanding of membrane technology. Others have consulting backgrounds with experience in treatment plant design, construction and operations support.
